Causes of odor in the air inside the vehicle:
The air-conditioning equipment operates for a long time inside, and the dust gathers. The mixed product of air-conditioning water and air-conditioning water during refrigeration is a breeding ground for mold, bacteria, etc., which will produce odor due to the reproduction of mold, bacteria, etc. due to moisture.
Why clean the air conditioner:
Because when the car air conditioner is in operation, 80% of the tiny dust and bacteria in the air will pass through the filter screen and enter the air conditioner. After bonding with the condensed water, they will be blocked on the evaporator, which will not only affect the cooling and heat dissipation of the air conditioner, but also nourish the bacteria. These harmful bacteria pollute the air in the car with the air-conditioning, causing nausea, headache, fever, tonsillar infection, asthma, influenza, respiratory tract infection, dermatitis and other allergic adverse reactions, which seriously endanger human health.
When cleaning is required:
Automotive air conditioners will accumulate dust and dirt after being used for a period of time. It is recommended to develop the habit of cleaning air conditioners regularly, usually once a year. However, when the air from the air conditioner is found to have peculiar smell, it is recommended to clean it immediately.
Principle of air conditioning cleaning:
Using the flow of external air, the foam cleaning agent is delivered to the air conditioning pipeline to remove dirt.
Generally, the cleaning of automotive air conditioning mainly includes: air filter, air conditioning pipeline and evaporator. The cleaning of air filter and air-conditioning pipeline is relatively simple. The owner can DIY, while the cleaning of evaporator involves the whole disassembly of air-conditioning, so it is best to go to a 4S store or a professional car repair shop.
Air conditioning pipeline cleaning steps:
1. Remove the A/C filter and clean it. Under normal circumstances, the service life of an original air-conditioning filter element is one year or 30000 kilometers. If the air-conditioning filter element is regularly cleaned, it can not only ensure the fresh air in the car, but also extend the service life of the air-conditioning filter element. However, if the air conditioning filter is too dirty or even black and difficult to clean, it is recommended to replace it. It is recommended to replace the air conditioning filter with activated carbon.
2. Start the engine, open the windows of the four doors, adjust the air conditioner to the external circulation mode, and adjust the air volume to the maximum (emphasis: the whole process only needs to turn on the natural blowing, without turning on the air conditioner compressor, which is commonly referred to as refrigeration).
3. After the cleaning agent is inserted into the hose, spray the cleaning agent into the external circulation air inlet of the engine compartment, and spray it in several times, bit by bit, about 1/3; Then spray the cleaning agent into the place where the air conditioning filter is placed, and spray it a little bit in several times, spraying 1/3. The suction of the blower will suck in the cleaning agent to clean the pipeline. After spraying, continue to blow for 5 minutes, during which it is best to switch between various modes in turn, so that the cleaning agent can reach each air duct.
4. After turning off the air conditioner, spray the remaining 1/3 of the cleaning agent into the four air outlets of the center console (put the hose inside as much as possible), and then stand still for 10 minutes. At this time, it can be seen that after cleaning the air duct, the detergent will defoaming into liquid and flow out of the vehicle along the drain.
5. After 10 minutes, turn on the external circulation mode of the air conditioner, adjust the air volume to the maximum, adjust the temperature to warm air, blow for about 10 minutes, dry the steam in each air duct, and slowly the water at the outlet of the cooling water will also stop flowing out, indicating that each air duct has been completely dried.
6. Reinstall the clean or brand-new air conditioning filter. Here we are. The next time we turn on the air conditioner for refrigeration, there will be no bad smell.
7. If there is still odor after cleaning the air conditioning system, it means that there is dirt inside the evaporation tank. The solution to this situation can only be to disassemble and clean the air conditioning pipeline and evaporation tank. It is recommended to go to a 4S shop or professional maintenance shop for cleaning.
Air conditioning odor prevention tips:
In summer, the refrigeration should be turned off a few minutes before the shutdown, and the natural wind should be turned on to make the temperature in the air conditioning pipe rise, reduce the temperature difference with the outside world, and avoid the air from condensing when it is cold, thus causing a large number of mold breeding due to humidity.
